It's been a month

Ok, so I realize it has been a month since my last update! And I was reminded of this fact by Heather, (my one blog follower lol!) last week.

The last month has been pretty exciting! Along with getting ready for Christmas and having two weeks off work (I love higher education), a stranger came up and asked me if I was pregnant!! :) Well actually two strangers in the same day! I had on a regular (non-maternity) shirt that day, and I guess you could finally see the belly! It only took 20 weeks! haha!

But by far the best thing that has happened in the last month is feeling our baby move around in my tummy! It is great! The only problem, I think our baby may be like Brandon, and is a bit shy! Because every time the baby kicks and I try to put my hand or Brandon's hand on my belly, the baby stops! The only member of our family that gets any kick love from the baby- is Harper our dog! haha! He is insistent on lying on my belly, and while he is only 9 lbs., Brandon thinks that the baby is kicking and saying get off! ha! But seriously, we have a very active baby; cause I get kicked a lot. I haven't started counting kicks, (I know, I should) but it is pretty consistent. Which is so incredible! My friend Melissa told me that feeling the baby kick would be the most amazing thing, and she couldn't wait for that to happen to me, and she was right! It really was amazing!

Christmas was great this year! Since this was our last Christmas of just “us” Brandon got me a pair of diamond earrings. He said they were not only a present for me but also a celebration of us! He also got an ornament with a husband and pregnant wife. He also personalized it, so it will always have a special place on our tree! J

We find out what we are having on January 7th. The closer it gets, the more excited I get! Mainly, I can’t wait to have an ultrasound and see the baby again!! I want to know that they baby is healthy. Kidneys, heart and everything else Dr. Hearn is going to check. But finding out if we are having a girl or a boy, will be awesome. I am ready for two reasons: number one, so that the baby has a more formal identity than “baby” or “peanut”. Number two, getting the nursery decorated!! I am really getting myself sort of stressed out by this only having a baby bed. So after we know I am hoping to quickly get the nursery together as much as we can!

So that is my abbreviated update of the last month. Because I did a really long post and while it was publishing, the Internet stopped working grrr…. So, I had to start almost all the way over! PAIN! So enjoy what you are getting! Ha! J
