Random Wednesday Thoughts

So here is my random Wednesday thought: people really annoy me when they drive with the windows up, SMOKING with a baby in the back seat!! Grr!


That is way worse than the Sweet Home Alabama line, "you've gotta baby...in a bar" Well, maybe not way worse, but terrible, none the less!

I just see so many good people wanting and praying for a baby. Then you pass a car with someone smoking and a baby in the back, well, I just don't understand...

Anyway, parents: just take care of your gifts from God!

What Have We Been Up To??

Not much!

Sunday Timothy and I stayed in our pjs all day! Ha! It was great! Brandon made a trip to Target, but he is the only one who braved the stormy weather of the day.

This morning I dropped Timothy off at daycare, and for some reason, I gave them my cell phone, since I was going to be on the road all day. Well, it was a good thing I did. About 10:30, whi
E on my way to Gastonia, NC, my phone rang, daycare, telling me Timothy was out of Neosure! I called work, and one of my sweet coworkers went and bought some and dropped it off on her lunch break..so sweet! Once again, I am not winning mom of the year this year! Ha!

By the time I got back from NC, it was 5:00 and my work day was over. I went and picked up Timothy and we headed to get some dinner because Brandon had to work late tonight.

Tomorrow I have to go to Georgia for work, so Melissa is going to pick up Tbird for us, and Brandon is going to go to pick him up from their house dater he gets off.

My Insane Week

Last we talked Timothy, mom and I had arrived at the beach. Since then, we have had some fun times and not so fun times!

Fun times first. Mom, Timothy and Miss Laura hung out every day and miss laura or as Timothy calls her "Mimi" got Timothy some very special gifts. We went to dinner each night. We went to PF Changs, Midtown Bistro and the Schafer home! Mr Billy or as Timothy calls him, Gran Gran, made a low country boil for us on night! Yummy! (even though I didn't get to eat any! That is part of the not so fun part, I was sick!)

I am still not back to 100% maybe like 90%. I hoping tomorrow I will be back to normal because I have "day" travel all next week too!

Timothy stayed at Brandons parents last night since I wasn't back to par yet. I had to drive four and half hours back to Anderson sick, I do not suggest it, by the way!

Right now, we are enjoying lots of football since the Tigers are off today. I was heartbroken earlier, I really wanted the razorbacks to pull out the win over Alabama, they were so close! Now we are watching South Carolina v. Auburn, Oklahoma v. Cincinnati and Boise State v. Oregon state. We grabbed two pizzas from Papa Johns (Brandon and I have different ideas of what we like in pizza) Timothy loves football! I know people think I am crazy, but it's true! He talks to the TV and kicks and yells and watches. It's awesome to see, because Brandon and I love it so much!

Travel Warrior!

In my last post I mentioned that I had just gotten back from Ohio. Well, that was Wednesday. On Saturday, Brandon and I bright and early got up and left for Auburn Alabama for the Clemson vs. Auburn game. Timothy stayed with Brandon's parents and one of my recent grad student worker house/dog sat for us.

Brandon and I have been pumped and committed to going to this game for three years!! When they first announced that the two teams would face off in 2011, it seemed like years and years away (because it was!) And we have been talking about it ever since!

And in case you missed it.. The game lived up to the hype..(ours and ESPN's) Even though the outcome was not we desired..(hearbreaking loss in overtime) we still had an amazing time! And, awesome seats! I managed to take a few pictures before and during the game, but the massive strain the game was putting on my heart proved to be the winner over pictures in the end!!

We managed to get back to our hotel in like 30 minutes after the game! I was shocked. In Clemson, you are dead in the water for at least an hour and a half after a game if you try to leave right after. But we managed to get to the car (BTW, Auburn lets you park ANYWHERE! No parking pass required! That baffled us!) Ride down the main highway, get on the interstate and back to our hotel in no time! Brandon and I even stopped at Burger King on the hotel exit and we still managed to get back to our room before midnight! (Central time)  

Then Sunday, we got up, got ready and headed back to S.C. When we got to Brandon's parents house it was about 1:30. We sat and chatted with them for a little while and discovered Tbird had a slight fever! We gave him some Tylenol, (well not real Tylenol, since it is off the shelves still!) and all decided it had to be his little gummers! Bless him, those things are giving him a fit! He is slobbering and trying his best to get his entire fist in his mouth to make it better!!

Once home I packed my bag for Myrtle Beach. Don't get too jealous, most of the time I will be working! My mom agreed a few months ago that when I had to come to MB for work, she and Timothy would join me, so I wouldn't have another entire week without seeing him.

By the time we got everything loaded into my work car, said our good byes to daddy, it was nearly five! By the time we got to my parents it was 5:30. So off we went to the beach. We got all the way past Columbia before Tbird decided that his mouth hurt too much to continue. So we pulled off the exit to a gas station and I attempted to feed and give medicine, while my mom went in to use the bathroom. Well, while she was in there who did she see?? Christian and Stephanie! They were on their way home from Aiken! So they hung out with us while we attempted to calm Timothy down and get Subway. Once we got moving again in the car, and the medicine thankfully took effect, Timothy slept the rest of the way, and his fever broke!! Praise Jesus! Well, I have to be up bright and early tomorrow, eerr today, for work, so I gotta get some sleep!

Eeek! It's been a week!

I can't believe it has been a week since my last post! And I have yet tell everyone.... Timothy is eating carrots and bananas now! Yayaya!

So, here is what has happened since last we spoke:

Thursday: Timothy and I went back to Greenville for work and he stayed with my mom all day! We had chicken and asparagus casserole that night when I got home and my mom prepared a meatloaf for Brandon while I was traveling this week. (More on that later).

Friday: tbird went to daycare and I worked half a day. My boss gave me Friday afternoon off! Yaya! So I spent it the best way possible...with my little bear! We went to grocery store to get everything we needed for tailgating on Saturday!

Friday night: We went to Chili's with Ray and Heather. Timothy couldn't help himself; he had a meltdown right when our came, of course! After dinner we went through Brusters for some ice cream!

Saturday: GAME DAY! Heather kept Timothy for us, since Brandon's mom had to work. But Heth didn't mind one bit! And Timothy loves his Aunt "Hey", so he didn't mind either! We had such a great time Saturday! We got to see one of my besties (& cat scratch fever partner) TINA!! I love that lady and I am so glad I get to spend time with her next week too!!

Sunday: We gave Timothy a bath ate leftover pizza and hung out with Christian and Steph. I had to fly out of GSP at 5, so I also packed. I had to fly to Cincinnati for work.



Monday and Tuesday: Boring just work stuff other than me getting to eat all my Cincy Favs! More on that in another post!

Wednesday: I flew back Cincinnati and sat in dead stop traffic for an hour in Greenville! Grr!
When I finally got home, all I wanted to do was get my baby! He wS staying Brandon's parents while B worked. So we went and got him together! He was so cute...when he saw me, he smiled huge! My heart melted! I held him the rest of the night!

Today: Insane work! Everyone is traveling so I am doing double time since I am the lone solider! I did get to go see Tbird at lunch and got to take some really cute pics below!!

Getting Into My iPad Groove

Ok, let me start with the obvious question.. What is up with this post title? Well, here is what's up... I have posted on the iPad for the last three days without any problems! Umm.. Beside no pics.. :( but I will go back and add those in.. Have no fear, you will see tbird soon! Because, let's be honest, that is why you tune in everyday! I'm ok with that :)

Now, my day: worked in my car in Greenville all day! This is also what I will be doing the rest of the week as well. I actually don't mind it. Honestly, it is one of the best parts of my job. I like the diversity of what I do...I never get bored!!

For dinner tonight we had veggie ziti and winter salad. The veggies were artichokes, zucchini, and onions. The winter salad had romaine lettuce (compliments of my mommy) feta cheese, pecans and crasins! Yummy!

After dinner Brandon fed Timothy and hen laid him on his activity mat. He loves that thing! Brandon bought him the baby first channel on directv and we let him watch baby Einstein... Btw, he loves it! Then Brandon decided that he too could make baby Einstein videos, because they are so simple! Ha!

Right now, both of my men are sleeping and so are my puppies! I am a lone wolf! And I am watching the season finale of Dark Blue..great show!

Finally, the movie about facebook that is about to be releases, cracks me up on the preview! He says "the facebook" and it always makes me think of Betty White saying she is on "the Twitter"

Anyway, I am going to enjoy the season finale, so until tomorrow!! :)

How Was My Labor Day?!?

We pretty much did exactly what I said we were going do... A whole lotta nothing!

Brandon did finally plant some bushes we have been meaning to plant, but other than that, we stayed inside. We grilled steaks, they were yummy! But Timothy was very cranky because he wouldn't nap, so we didn't really want to go anywhere and take the risk of a major league freak out!

Today, I felt like a hamster on a wheel at work!! CRAZY! But I got to see Tbird at lunch, and that was awesome! :) After work Timothy and I went to Clemson and got dinner because daddy had to work late.

Once we got home, Timothy proceeded to play on his activity mat for close to an hour! He just kept scooting across the mat on his back. I ended up having to switch his position because he was sliding out onto the hard woods. The other way kept him on a soft rug if he scooted, which he did! By the time Heather came over, he was completely off the mat! haha!

Right now he is sleeping on our love seat..snoring, more specifically! And Brandon and I are both on computers right now... So that is our day! :)

Happy Labor Day!!!

I hope that everyone has a fabulous Labor Day! Brandon and I are both fortunate enough to have the day off of work so we get to spend the day with Timothy!! :)

We will be relaxing and grilling and taking full advantage of the day off, mixed in with some grocery shopping. I mean hey, a moms gotta do what a moms gotta do!!  Have a great day everyone!!

One Year Ago Today......

I took the best test I have ever taken... The pregnancy test that told us we were having a baby!! :) whoop-whoop!! Every day for the last year has been amazing! From throwing up all over the place and watching my belly grow, to the first time I felt him kick and held him in my arms!! He is the best thing ever!!

And the Craziness Begins!!

Yes, it is that time again! College football! Yayaya! We are a household of Clemson Tiger fans!

Daddy and Tbird... Yes, that is a CJ jersey!! :) 

Brandon and I both hold degrees from there (me a masters, Brandon a bachelors, masters and PhD) and we both love football! So this is a special time of the year for us, but also a very crazy one!

Thursday night one of my travel buddies and I went to The Oyster Bar in downtown Columbia. We strategically waited until the South Carolina game started, so it wouldn't be nuts-o craze-o. Let me be the first to say, The Oyster Bar: Off the Chain!!! They shuck the oysters for you! I had two pecks!! YUMMY!!

Then Friday, I finished up my last site about 2:30, and then headed back home to see my husby and little bear. When Brandon brought tbird in the house, I picked that baby up and loved all over him!!! He smiled and laughed while I did it and it was really cute! Brandon had him dressed in a orange and white polo--adorable! We met one of our favorite couples, Morgan and Krista for dinner at the Mexican restaurant down the road. They drive 9 hours from D.C. For each game! After dinner, Christian and Stephanie were waiting on us at our house, so Brandon and Timothy hung out with C, while Steph and I went to the grocery store to get our tailgate supplies!

On game day! Even if he wasn't there, he had to wear his jersey!!

Saturday we got up about 8 and fed Timothy then Brandon took him to his parents for the entire night!! First time he has been away from us like that. But we needed it! We got to our tailgate spot about 10:45 and then my parents arrived like 15 minutes later. We then proceeded to set everything up and enjoy an incredible afternoon of college football and a win for the tigers! We then proceeded to go to the Esso and had a little dance party USA. And as a tradition, our group made the late night trip to peppinos for some yummy pizza! We got home about 1:00 am this morning!

Brandon went and got Timothy about 10 this morning and we have been lazy around the house the rest of the afternoon!

babies, babies, babies

I really think our country is going through baby boomer 2.0! It is totally crazy! Everywhere you look someone is preggo or has a little tots running around.. From my high school friends to the celebs in People magazine. I am sure maternity & baby stores are loving life right now, but why are so many 20-30 somethings are having bebe's? Because first generation baby boomers are retiring and are ready grandkids? Who knows! But I just got finished with People magazine, and it had a HUGE multi-page spread on little tikes! They even included popular products, clothes and celeb baby look alikes!! Sheesh, baby overload.

And because I read the magazine, I had another thought: "why do the celebs think they need to name their children bazaar off the wall names? I mean, I realize that not all people are about family/traditional names like Brandon and I do, but really some of these names! I guess the parents think their children are never going to get picked on because of who they are? Well, I've got news for you, kids don't care who someone's parent is; if they want to pick on you because you are named after fruit, an automobile or animal. I feel like we may have an influx of kids needing therapists because they get picked on so much!

Well, all of that is neither here nor there, I am glad the baby boomer 2.0 ( a term which I am coining right now! ) Has begun! It is nice to read blogs and ask friends for advice or see what products they are using since we are all in the same boat! :) Brandon and I have worked hard to get the best products for Tbird, so when people ask what products we use for things, I am always happy to spit out our reasoning and advice for what we use.

Fianlly, I am so excited for everyone in my life about to have, or just had a new addition to their fam. I don't want to pretend that our life is perfect, and Timothy is perfect, but we make the best (most perfect for us) out of our lives.. And we hope you all do the same! :)

On the Road Again

Well I am traveling for work again. Yesterday I really meant to blog about my first day on the road, but I was exhausted by the time I got in my hotel room.

So yesterday was really successful!! My first site was amazing and started the week off great. But I had to be at work super early to pull it off, then drive 3 and half hours to the next site. Only to get to the hotel change clothes really quick and run down to the lobby to meet some friends I was having dinner with. We went to Percy and Willies, one of my favorite restaurants in Florence. And after dinner I went back to the hotel and called Brandon. We spoke for a little while and then I spoke to Timothy! :) Brandon said he smiled!!

Today, my second site was another success!!  And I got this super cute pic of Timothy at 7:30 this morning.

And under the picture Brandon wrote: "mommy I was still sleepy this morning!" hehe!! :) Love that sweet bear!!

I miss him so much!! :)
