I know I have posted this video already, but it gets me every time! :)

Step Up, and Help Babies!

I seriously can't believe our walk is here in two days! It really just seems like yesterday I learned about the walk and began texting and emailing friends asking for their support and seeing if anyone was willing to walk with us..

This week has really reinforced why we started  Timothy's Troops and started raising money.

A co-worker and his wife had their baby at 29 weeks on Tuesday. She weighed 2 lbs. 14 oz.  Just a couple ounces different than T.  They have a long 6-8 weeks in the NICU ahead of them. And I do not wish the NICU crazy roller coaster on anyone! I've offered them as much guidance and help as they may want. I know having that support helped and still helps BTB and I get through the struggles we face(d) with T.

Then, I saw on Tiffiney's FB status, that preemie twins that were in the Greenville NICU, did not make it. My heart sank! Every day going into the NICU, you never knew what you were going to see. The worst,  by far, was seeing parents leaving the NICU that you have seen for weeks, with puffy eyes, barely able to walk or hold their heads up, because their little one went to be with the Lord. No parent should ever have to deal with this. The mission of MoD is to end prematurity.

So, I beg you, give to the March of Dimes. You don't have to give to my team, just give. Because at a time when your life is completely turned upside down,  by giving birth a preemie, MoD brings a calm to the situation. They offer so much support, and provide so many gifts to parents and preemies alike.

I don't know if I have ever become more passionate about a cause than this one. I hope this post helps spark something in you! :)

I'm Alive!

I know I have been MIA for a couple days!

I am swamped with stuff and I was sick yesterday! :( Boo! I think I ate something bad on Easter. Anyway, I promise either tonight or tomorrow, I will give you a full recap of Easter {with pictures} and the beginning of this week! And try to catch up on the last three days of yalls life too! So expect some old posts to get some comments!

A Tisket, A Tasket, I Still Gotta Buy an Easter Basket!!

Yelp! I have let time slip away from me! My house is decorated beautifully, but my child has no Easter basket!! I've started looking for some inspiration, and I hope to find something later today.

Here are some things I would like in the basket:

Fun grass {you'll see what I mean when I post the final product}
A book or two
Something biblical {he needs to get why we celebrate. Yes, even at one!}
Some kind of treat. probably puffs!
An Easter Bunny
Of course eggs!!

Can y'all think of anything else I need to include? Let me know now, cause I am on my way to hunt!!

Preparing Myself for the "Change of Life"

No, not menopause. My child. Now, that he is crawling, everyone is telling me to "watch out" and "we are in trouble now!" They are right. We so are! Once Tbird figures out that this crawling thing can get him anywhere he wants, and not just to pick up a toy that got away from him.. Sheesh, it will be on like Donkey Kong! But I am relishing, in the few short days, maybe even hours I still have before that happens!

When I went to daycare yesterday at lunch, T and his current lady friend, Cate were chasing eachother around the room. Now, Cate goes WAY faster than T. But she has been crawling for months now, so that is understandable. But they were seriously too cute. And when they would stop and sit down, T would lean over and hug her! Melts this mommy's heart in a big way!! :)

He's been so sleepy the last two days! I guess all this crawling is wearing him out! :)

My mostacholi was off the chain last night, people! I gave the leftovers to our friend that ate with us.. I mean, he is a single guy, so he needs the homecooked yumminess, more than us! But what is it about carbs that's so comforting?? When I am eating a pasta or bread, I just feel loved! Do y'all feel that way? And lucky for me T, loves pastas, so he ate some last night too! I mean, wouldn't it just be my luck to raise a little guy that is part Italian that won't even eat the stuff.. {That was a secret fear of mine!}

And can anyone give me amen to tomorrow being Friday?!? And Good Friday at that! I've always been raised that you do not eat meat on Good Friday. And to this day, I don't. This is something I want to continue with Timothy. Do y'all eat meat on Good Friday?

What Am I Loving This Wednesday??

I'm Loving that Timothy crawled by himself for the first time yesterday! Proud mommy!!

I'm Loving today is actually Wednesday. I pretty much went through all of yesterday, thinking it was today. Don't you hate that?!?

I'm Loving my grandmas recipes. I prepped her from scratch mostacholi for dinner tonight, last night. She was an amazing cook and baker. When she passed away, the family said I could have her recipe box! {This thing has original recipes from my great-great grandma..} And I keep them in the strangest place: under my bed! {Not sure why I just admitted that, oh well!}

I'm Loving after three and half agonizing weeks, my iPad 2 arrived yesterday! I. am. in. love. people!

I'm Loving the memory of my Papa Dave. {My Grandpa.} Five years ago today, he passed away. He loved me so much, and was just the best grandpa ever!

I'm Loving Tay sold her house, Heth is enjoying some time-off, Heather had a successful walk with Brayden's Bunch and is sending me a team shirt and that Katie has Zach & Colson here with here, and sweet Reese in heaven.
