Happy Halloween!!
Hope y’all are having a excellent Monday! And if you are like me, you are enjoying some of the fruits of Halloween...{SNACKS!} To tell you the truth- I am more of a salty snacker, so I am going to be enjoying popcorn and salted caramel apples today! Yummy!
Last night we finally carved our pumpkin. It was a night of firsts. Timothy’s first pumpkin carving and my soon-to-be 33 year old husbands first pumpkin carving! {I know, I am in shock too.} And, if I had known this little fact before yesterday-- we would of carved a pumpkin like 8 years ago. You think you know someone! We had a great time spending time as a family carving our new friend, Hawl. When I asked T what he wanted to name him, he responded with, “de-da-doo-drr” so—that didn’t work. BTB spoke up with Hawl—like Halloween. It stuck!
Timothy thought Hawl was the coolest thing ever. He just watched him all night. And I bought one of those fake candles to put in it. Just thinking of safety. But it was a darn good thing I did. T kept carrying Hawl around and opening his top. He was meant to have a fake candle to handle Tbird!
Saturday our beloved Clemson Tigers lost! {BOO!} But I have to be honest, we are 8-1. There are plenty of other teams in the country that would love to be sitting at 8-1 and 11th in Country. On top of the fact that people keep forgetting that we ended last year with 6-7 record. Who would of ever thought this year would be so different?!? We went over to Ray and Heth’s to watch the game. We had a great time and Timothy dressed up like the Tiger! The outfit was short-lived though. It was a little tight on his head so we didn’t make him wear long! But we managed to get a photo. For food, Heather made taco soup, dips and veggie trays and I brought a chicken wing dip and my mom’s cheese dip! The company was great, we just wish the outcome of the game would have been different!
We are going to trick’o’treatin’ in Greenville tonight. We are going to hit up my parents neighborhood. I am so excited about doing this with T. BTB and I grew up so differently when it comes to trick or treating. I grew up in neighborhoods; where you went door-to-door, rang the doorbells and got candy. BTB is a country kid and had no neighbors. So they would get in the car and go see all the relatives and get candy from them. I’m sorry. That is just not the same!! So, T is going to get to experience Halloween like you should. Walking around in a itchy costume, carrying your treat bag til it’s too heavy for you and saying “trick or treat” or whatever variation of that he might come up with! {Off soap box!]
Again, hope y’all have a fantastic Halloween and eat all the candy your heart desires. Unless of course you are diabetic… In that case-- stay off the candy!

Finding My Voice
Let me start this post out by saying the title is NOT figuratively speaking. It is extremely literal.
Saturday my voice came back to dry, raspy manly man voice but by midday it was gone again! Since Saturday, I haven’t really answered my phone or talked to anyone because it was way too hard for anyone to understand me. Plus, it hurt like hayday to try.
On top of that, I have been traveling all week {note: absence from blogging} and having to talk to people from sun up to sun down. I’ve apologized to everyone I spoke with and they were all really understanding, but it has been a long week. And every night this week I have been up 4-5 times each night coughing and spitting up nasty mucus stuff! Blawwhh! {TMI?}
Can add some salt to my wounded voice? Why yes.. I have spent like an hour with T all week because of my work obligations and I miss him terribly. And of course BTB. But BTB gets why I am not there and why I leave. T does not!
One bright shining star though--my mom kept T for us! Tbird and Gi-Gi had a great time and I am really thankful for that!
I haven’t seen twitter all week, so I can only imagine the things I am missing on there! Plus, last night {when I went to schedule this post! Ha!} I finally read a week’s worth of a few of my favorite blogs. Gosh, I've missed yall! Good News.. My voice is on the mend! I think by Sunday/Monday it should be full strength again.
I have no pictures of T from this week, since I haven't seen him. But, I do have this super cute one of him last Friday. We were waiting in my SUV for our tailgate food for Saturday. I let him sit in the front seat with me since we had to wait to 20 minutes for it to be ready. He thought he was the coolest kid on the block! And we all know he is!
Last Friday, while I was minding my own business, I woke up with not one iota of a voice. You know that scene in The Little Mermaid when Ursula takes Ariel’s voice? That’s how I felt last Friday when I opened my mouth to wake Timothy up and nothing came out!

Timothy's Fall Festival
Really creative post title, huh?!?
Last night Timothy and I went to his daycare fall festival. We had the best time. Originally Megan and Heather were both going to join us, but for different reasons were both unable to. And BTB had a training at work he had to do, so it was just me and T!
We have three Halloween costumes for this year.. Can you tell the grandparents spoil this little boy?! He went as a Monster last night. The costume looked A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E on him. It was hard to get any really great pictures because all he wanted to do was run around the big gym floor and see his little friends! :) But here's what I was able to capture with my phone.. Sorry for the quality.

Let's Talk Potty Time
We have been trying to slowly introduce the potty to Timothy. We've been reading the books, talking about going pee-pee or poop and the differences and he tells us by putting his hand over the “areas” which one he has to do or he has already done.
He already loves his potty seats. Like he wants to sit on them and carry them around with him. I went “all out” when buying the potty’s. We have three bathrooms in our house and all three have a potty seat securely hanging on the side of the potty. My fear was that he would be like, “mommy, pee-pee” and we are downstairs then having to run upstairs and he pees all over me and himself! So, every bathroom has a potty. Stop laughing at me! {Ha-ha}
Last night, T grabbed his hiney and made his “poop face” so I said, “T, Do you need to poop?” He sort of just stood there and made a face. So I put him on his potty seat. I didn’t bother trying to take to unsnap anything or take off his diaper, because I just wanted him to make the connection of the two. He sat right there on the potty and finished pooping and then threw his hands up in the air, ready to get down. Truth be told, I probably had enough time to get him unsnapped and positioned, but I didn’t want to take any chances of a mistake happening. And I wanted this first experience to be a good one. We did a cute picture to mark the occasion….

Evolution of a Meltdown
We snapped these two pictures on Sunday.
In the first, Timothy had just thrown a goldfish on the floor. He is looking at me with his mischievous I did something wrong, but I am cute..so please don’t punish meeee, face. And in the second, well, I think it speaks for itself!
I think his expression is priceless in both.. Ha! Have a fantastic Wednesday yall!

The Weekend of Comebacks!
Hope everyone had a great weekend!
I had to work Saturday, so that part of my weekend was a little depressing!
After work Tbird, BTB and I headed to Heather and Rays to watch the Tigers take on Maryland.
I have to admit, it was nice for one weekend to do nothing for the game but show up! And you know you've been best friends with someone forever when you show up to their house without bringing a thing and you are already in your jammies! Oh yes, I did it! {Mom, don't kill me for showing up empty handed. I know it's typically rude!}
Heth cooked it up for us, no doubt! {I will be stealing her pictures.. Because I took none!} She made us a spread including: BBQ Chicken Nachos, brown rice, veggie tray, cheese dip, sloppy joe muffins, cookies, chips and salsa and I am sure I am missing stuff too!
I could lie, and tell yall that we had total confidence in our team. But down three touchdowns at one point lead us to fear a big L in the record column. But, somehow.. Our boys pulled it off!! We were all going crazy! Even Heth got a little excited during our come back! Truth be told though, T was the best little fan. He ran around the living room high-fiving us all and yelling tou-dowww {touchdown!} He was too cute for words!
Sunday we went to Greenville and spent the day at my parents. T slept in the booth during lunch. But made a comeback of his own after golf with his Papa!
I hope y'all have a great Monday. I am on the road again! :)

Going to the Doctor
Can I first say that I am exhausted! All of my travel for work is certainly catching up with me! I know y'all are probably tired of me complaining, but between not being with my family and friends and not being able to blog each and every day; my life is feeling very incomplete these days. I also feel like I am forgetting to write and talk about things Tbird is doing! {You know-- the point of the blog!}
The other day I took Timothy to the doctor for his 18 month appointment. I know, a little late since he was born on the 30th. But between when the doctor could see him and when I was actually in town-- this was the best we could work out!
Here we are waiting for the doctor...
The other day I took Timothy to the doctor for his 18 month appointment. I know, a little late since he was born on the 30th. But between when the doctor could see him and when I was actually in town-- this was the best we could work out!
Here we are waiting for the doctor...
He was having himself a big old time while waiting for his check-up!
We learned some good news and bad news. Which honestly, always seems to be our case with appointments. Good news.. T finally is the 5th percentile in weight! We are on the charts, for real! Whoop! {Do a little dance!} Therefore, we are off the high calorie/high cost formula!!
The bad news.. T is going the wrong way in length. He is still increasing, but it isn't where it needs to be. Like it keeps getting farther from our goal. So, the game plan..
At his two year check-up in a few months we are going to reevaluate where he is. If he continues to remain two deviations off where he needs to be on the chart the doctor wants T to go see a endocrinologist.
You may be thinking why take such evasive measures so soon? Well, here is thing. The doctor feels like if Timothy was going to be a late bloomer {in terms of length}, he wouldn't have all the teeth that he currently has. Seriously people, his mouth is full! Typically late blooming in length correlates with how many teeth they have. {Didn't know that?!?! Did y'all?}
So, here's the deal. If the height hasn't gotten better by the next appointment he will go to the endo, they will take x-rays and see what his bones are doing gestational wise. If he is coming up younger than he is supposed to be, we are going to have to start growth hormones to catch him up. The doctor just thinks we need to nip anything else in the bud now because he has made such strides in the other areas.
Here is how I feel: helpless. When he needed help with weight and eating and motor skills.. I felt like we could help him. BTB and I can do nothing to help him get taller between now and his next appointment. And frankly, that sucks! {Just being honest.} So please say a little prayer for the little guy! :)
Just as with everything else we are taking this news one day at a time. We are working through the emotions you have as a parent when you are told your little one isn't measuring up {literally!} I am trying not to let this be something I stress over. Maybe there is a growth spurt coming in the next 6 months that will remedy all of this. T always defies the odds... this is no different!
Now to make you smile.. Here we are after the news and two shots getting ready to leave the doctors office. I am thinking T is so excited to get off his high calorie formula-- he wanted to say cheers to the camera! :)

What Does Fall Look Like to You??
The best way for me to celebrate fall is to go to Denver Downs. When we go to Denver Downs we get to go through a corn maze, play in hay, go on a hay ride, see goats and pigs, put our heads in cut-outs, pick out pumpkins and eat funnel cake! What says fall better? I mean besides tossing up leaves and drinking apple cider??
We met Megan and Heather at Denver Downs on a perfect weather day! At one point I looked at Heather and said, “we are so lucky to have this place so close to us!” I think the pictures will show the wonderful day much better than my words.. so enjoy!

I am totally planning on stealing Megan's pictures too, whenever she gets hers up! :) Have a great Wednesday y'all!

Tailgatin' Tiger Style!
Hey! Hope y'all had a great weekend! We went and watched the tigers play at death valley! And they won! :) Each week I get more and more nervous before the game! Here is my weekly update of the outfit I wore! It was a dress and Frye boot day!

We got a new banner Saturday. I don't know if y'all are ready for this... But here's a picture..

Yes, this tent covers a 10' tent and almost the entire 9' tent! It was crazy yall! We got it from Shindigz in case anyone wants one of their own! {By the way, Jacobus is my maiden name.. If you are wondering!}We also did a Italian theme tailgate for food. It was amazingly yummy! {somehow I have no. Pictures of the food..how'd that happen?}
My dad and I had a special treat Saturday.. We got to sit in the West Zone! We had a really great time. And we love any excuse for daddy/daughter time! The nice lady behind us took our picture!

And the view from our seats...

After the game we danced until my feet hurt. We danced right at our tailgate spot! It was one part hilarious. One part awesome. That's just how our friends and family roll!
I hope all the football teams you root for, won! For us this is a really exciting/nerve racking season! And we are loving it!

Get Your Walking Papers.. But Don't Slip in Pee
Hey Yall!
I totally cannot believe it is Thursday. Where has the week gone? Well, I know where mine has gone. It's been in a car! I've been to North Carolina and back and all across Greenville, SC this week! It's not a terrible way for me to spend my week, but I am exhausted! Yay for weekend being close!
Well we've had some fun things going on, in spite of my travel. We celebrated Clemson beating Virgina Tech! Last Saturday, I was super nervous all day. When it was clear we were going to win, I honestly pinched myself to see if it was a dream! ha! Here is Timothy's reaction when we told him we won...
Ok, is that not seriously the funniest thing ever?!? I wish it wasn't so blurry, but it was taken with the phones camera. So,what do you expect?! We've sent the picture to our friends with some pretty funny captions under it!
In other news, Timothy got his "walking papers" {Thank you, Jesus!} to go to the next class. I was beginning to wonder if T would have to see a therapist from his separation anxiety issues from Cate and his other little friends. He has seemed happier this week since he started visiting the toddler class where all his friends are. He moves up next Monday.
With all the joy of him moving up, also comes my "momxiety" as I call it. I've read over all things that he needs and will be doing in this class and I am worried about him being ready, him adjusting, me adjusting and his abilities. I know, I know. Two weeks ago I was complaining because I wanted them to move him with his friends and I just knew he was ready. Err... he's ready. It's me. I can't believe he is 18 months old and is becoming such a big boy! It's hard for me to see him so "grown".
Yesterday with me working in NC, Heth went and picked up T from daycare. BTB and I met at her and house for dinner. Have I told yall how nice it is to have your BFF since kindergarten living like 2 miles from you and have her pick up your little one when you can't? Well, it rocks! This time of the year without our friends and family, BTB and I would not survive! We owe them all so much!
Heth made her famous spagHethii and meat sauce. I picked up salad and orange blossom mini cakes for everyone on my way to her house. We had a fun evening. Expect for one minor detail...
Timothy lurrves Layla, Heth's dog. And until last night, Layla liked T. But last night, she wanted nothing to do with him. And to show her anger, she peed all over Heth's kitchen floor. Which T slipped in- fell, {has a bruise on his face from} I picked him up not knowing anything -I get Layla pee all over me! It was so gross!
I strip myself and T down and I put on some of Heth's clothes. But what will T wear? Well one of Heth's tank tops of course! Her "sexy little bride tank" from her wedding day, to be more specific. I wish upon wishes I would of snapped a picture, but BTB and Ray both said, "NO!" very firmly when Heather suggested it. I know it will be hard, but just picture it: T in a tank top that is hanging below his nipples {ha!} and in rhinestones the words "sexy little bride". It was hilarous! And he ran around in for like an hour! Bahaa!
Well, that is all the entertaining things I got for yall today! Have a great Thursday! :)
