Growing Pains

I am having a hard time coming to grips with the fact that my son will be 2 next month.

This time last year, I had everything ready for his birthday and was beyond ready for it to get here. This year I am still excited and looking forward to it, but he isn’t my little baby anymore. He is my little boy.

I do love the talkative little fellow he has become. He is so much fun to talk to and to listen to these days. He has definitely come into his own over the last year. He can be sweet, but he is such a strong willed independent little man all at the same time.

I feel like once a day I am being asked when we will have another one. Which, I hate the question. We don’t have an answer to that question, just yet. And it makes me uncomfortable when people press me for an answer. It is sort of like when you are preggers and people think they can ask you personal questions just because you are the size of a whale!

I am really pumped for our birthday theme this year. I think T is going to love it!  I can’t wait to see his face when he walks in and sees everything! But I just gotta get my butt in gear and finish up everything for the party. This weekend I will be off, so I am hoping to get some things accomplished! Quick question: What kinds of foods are you all serving 2 year olds?

P.S. I  am totally still doing Project 365. I just didn’t get home until after 7 last night, and after working all weekened--I was pooped! So this coming Sunday, you all will get a super-sized edition with three weeks worth of pictures!

I remember when my little one turned two. Now he is 25! Time goes so fast. But they will always be your baby!

2 is such a fun age. Our daughter just turned two and they get so independent and strong-willed:) We had a combined party with our 6 year old and 2 year old (bdays 5 days apart) and we went easy with pizza/breadsticks and cake.

I can relate! I seriously keep crying like every other day because Nola is almost one! Good to know it doesn't get easier!

Two is the best age! You are going to love it. I know most say it is terrible- it's not! I promise.
