Happy Valentine's Day!

I hope y’all are having a great Valentine’s Day! I remember about a year or so ago, our pastor did a series on Song of Solomon. We dove deep into the meaning between the two lovers. And man, that’s some steamy stuff! I am pretty sure romance novels stole ideas from this portion of the bible.

My favorite verse is Song of Solomon 1:2 Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth— for your love is more delightful than wine.

I love passion you can see this woman has for her man in this verse. If y’all are like us, the hustle and bustle of life can play havoc on your love life. And Children—WOWZA! Biggest distraction out there! Have y’all seen the preview for the new season of Bethenny Ever After? She totally cracks me up every time they show her saying, “Jason’s penis has cobwebs on it”  It always brings me back to the fact that you need to tend to your marriage.

BTB and I don’t do Valentine’s Day up like some people do. And right now with our commitment to save more money, we are really trying to not spend so much. Our romantic dinner includes a beef tenderloin {recipe courtesy of Megan} roasted red potatoes and a salad. That’s one sexy meal, huh?!? We will then probably go cuddle with our little guy and enjoy our evening of three.
Prep work last night... YUMMY!

Last night I got all of Tbirds little Valentine’s gifts ready for his classmates and teachers. If you recall, I had some down time a few weeks ago and went ahead and bought all the stuff for his class, but I didn’t get anything for his teachers. After seeing this cuteness on Pinterest:

I, of course, had to do it! And ran to the grocery store to pick up some brownie mix!

I tried to be a healthy mommy and not include any sweets in T’s treat bags. The other kids got bubbles, stickers, play-doh, goldfish crackers and pop tart minis. Not bad, right? They also have a peanut free class and so much chocolate and candy is made around peanuts, I didn’t really feel like reading every label to make sure stuff was peanut free.

Oh so fun treats!
I also snapped a few pictures of T in his little Valentine’s Day shirt today. These weren’t in my original post for today, but I couldn’t resist adding them!
Watching Little Bear

They made sit so I could get a picture..Which made him upset!

2 seconds later--fine!

I bought that same shirt for my little man. And I only sent fruit today with his Valentine's Day gifts.
